Trundle ABBA Festival - Australia’s original ABBA Festival

about us
The Trundle ABBA Festival was founded in 2012 by Gary and Ruth Crowley after visiting the Parkes Elvis Festival and thinking “how great would an ABBA Festival be?”. They couldn’t find one to go to and so thought ........ “Well, let’s put one on!” Now, Trundle has the only ABBA Festival in Australia.
The Festival is inclusive of local business and schools, and utilises the town’s facilities and local organisations.

The Festival has been developed with no grant funding and minimal sponsorship. Trundle ABBA Festival’s main cost is entertainment; including sound, lighting and staging of the highest quality. The committee introduces something new each year to keep the entertainment fresh.

Trundle ABBA Festival Inc., has a long term vision to maintain and develop the event and ensure it continues to be delivered each year to provide benefits to the community. Some of the key long term objectives include:

  • improve event infrastructure, amenities and accessibility;
  • support the Trundle Memorial Hall by purchasing equipment and updating the facilities within the hall;
  • adopt a holistic approach to enhance the economic benefits for the Trundle community;
  • increase the profile and awareness of Trundle as a tourist destination; not just a drive-through, for both the Trundle Bush Tucker Day and the Trundle ABBA Festival;
  • provide a platform for businesses, organisations and local individuals to market themselves.
