The Trundle ABBA Festival was founded in 2012 by Gary and
Ruth Crowley after visiting the Parkes Elvis Festival and thinking “how great
would an ABBA Festival be?”. They couldn’t find one to go to and so thought ........ “Well, let’s put one on!” Now, Trundle has the only ABBA Festival in
The Festival is inclusive of local business and schools,
and utilises the town’s facilities and local organisations.
The Festival has been developed with no grant funding and
minimal sponsorship. Trundle ABBA Festival’s main cost is entertainment;
including sound, lighting and staging of the highest quality. The committee
introduces something new each year to keep the entertainment fresh.
Trundle ABBA Festival Inc., has a long term vision to maintain
and develop the event and ensure it continues to be delivered each year to
provide benefits to the community. Some of the key long term objectives
- improve event infrastructure, amenities and
- support the Trundle Memorial Hall by purchasing
equipment and updating the facilities within the hall;
- adopt a holistic approach to enhance the
economic benefits for the Trundle community;
- increase the profile and awareness of Trundle
as a tourist destination; not just a drive-through, for both the Trundle Bush
Tucker Day and the Trundle ABBA Festival;
- provide a platform for businesses,
organisations and local individuals to market themselves.
